JANUARY FOCUS : FOUNDATIONS
Service Description
Suitable for beginners and beyond.- these classes are designed to be progressive - attend the 4 week block for maximum benefit, and a discount! ☺ In January's 4 week block the theme is Pilates foundations. Each session focuses on the fundamentals of Pilates movement and makes an excellent introduction to Pilates repertoire and/or addition to equipment based classes. Using a combination of sequenced exercises, mainly performed on the floor using gravity and your own body weight to provide resistance, sometimes using various small Pilates 'props'. The main aims are: *condition the deeper, supporting muscles of your body *improve posture, balance and coordination *flatten and tone your abdominal muscles *build endurance, strength, confidence and body awareness *calm and focus the mind... (These sessions are beginner friendly/open to all levels of experience, however if you have an injury or difficulty kneeling and getting up and down from the floor comfortably a private session is recommended first.
